Shannon Valenzuela MD is a board-certified pulmonologist. She received her undergraduate degree at Arizona State University. She completed medical school at University of Arizona. She has over 25 years of experience. She loves caring for her patients and remains dedicated to her practice. An Arizona native, she was born and raised in Prescott. She is married for 30 years and blessed with 2 amazing daughters. She loves traveling, reading, and the outdoors!
Board certified in pulmonary disease, sleep medicine, and internal medicine, Dr. Rundbaken is a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Internists and the College of Chest Physicians. After earning his doctorate at Des Moines University, he completed his residency in internal medicine at Garden City Community Hospital, in conjunction with Michigan State University, and his Pulmonary Fellowship at Botsford General Hospital in Farmington Hills, Michigan.
Since his move to Arizona in 1997, Dr. Rundbaken has served as a general pulmonologist treating a variety of pulmonary disorders, including COPD, asthma, lung nodules, Valley Fever, and non-tuberculosis mycobacterial (NTM) infections, both of which are more prevalent in our region. When required for diagnoses, bronchoscopies are performed at Banner Health facilities. He is also the author of Valley Fever: The Silent Epidemic, a book that sheds light on this often misdiagnosed and overlooked disease.

Melanie Anderson, MSN, AGNP-C, CCRN, CV-BC, is a board-certified nurse practitioner with extensive experience in critical care and sleep medicine. She is currently completing a post-graduate diploma in sleep medicine from the University of Oxford. Melanie holds a Master of Science in Nursing degree from Duke University and she graduated summa cum laude with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Arizona State University. Her career has included experiences in cardiac intensive care, trauma, neuro critical care, transplant medicine, and high acuity respiratory failure. Additionally, she has a strong background in sleep wellness, holding a certification in clinical sleep health. A passionate educator, Melanie has taught future nurses and sleep technologists. She holds multiple certifications, including board certifications in cardiac nursing and critical care. She is a founding board member of the Arizona Sleep Society and actively contributes to several professional organizations, including the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the American Association of Critical Care Nurses.
Diana Puente Head, DNP, AGACNP-BC, CNP, CCRN is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner with a strong nursing background in critical care. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Arizona and a BSN from Grand Canyon University. With nearly a decade of experience caring for critically ill adults, Diana is known for her compassionate, patient-centered approach and dedication to education and support.
She is a member of The American Association of Critical-Care Nurses and The Association of Pulmonary Advanced Practice Providers. Bilingual in English and Spanish, Diana also mentors future nurses as a clinical faculty member. Outside of work, she enjoys life with her husband and two daughters.
