Clay Spence is the founder of Nimbus Health. Previously, Clay co-founded and ran the Cicero Institute, which has passed 90 laws in states around the country. Clay's interest in healthcare reform inspired him to launch Nimbus to address the needs of the millions of Americans with chronic lung diseases. Clay graduated from Claremont McKenna College with honors, majoring in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics.
Sharvil Patel is a Georgia native with a vast background in biomedical research, data science, and clinical operations. He hopes to work with Nimbus to redefine how pulmonary care is thought about and generally shift the specialty to a more proactive form of care. Outside of work, he spends his time listening to good music and looking for good food!
James Barfield is a versatile engineer with over 15 years of experience in machine learning, wearables, big data, Internet of Things (IoT), and biomedical engineering. He holds over 20 patents and served as a leader in the creation of many IoT, artificial intelligence, and technology platforms for several companies, including Verizon and Medtronic. James attended Georgia Tech, where he earned both a MS and BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering with an emphasis on Biomedical Engineering and Neuroscience. He provides guidance on the development of Nimbus’s innovative technology platform.
Dr. Fadul is a triple board certified pulmonologist, intensivist and internal medicine physician. After completing his medical education at George Washington University, he went to a medical residency at Georgetown University/Washington Hospital Center. After working in private practice, he went on to pursue a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. He founded Community Intensivists in 2014, servicing multiple hospital systems before being acquired in 2018. Dr. Fadul has published extensively in clinical medicine, health economics, and digital health, and has presented nationally and internationally on the same.
Ana Torralba is an Executive Assistant to the CEO and an Operations Lead at Nimbus Health. She has more than 10 years of experience working as a generalist, having taken on roles in different fields such as HR; admin; accounting; marketing; events planning and coordination; as well as customer service. She graduated from Assumption College - Makati City, Philippines with a B.S. in Psychology major in Human Service.
Cari Grisham is a passionate and collaborative Operations and Product leader with a deep understanding of the healthcare industry. Her track record boasts successful leadership of cross-functional teams and the establishment of organizations from the ground up. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Cari has been instrumental in driving innovation and impact within the healthcare technology sector. Notably, during her tenure at 100Plus, she played a pivotal role in the launch and success of the AI-enabled remote patient monitoring platform, significantly improving health outcomes for seniors. She brings her expertise in remote monitoring to her role as Director: Nimbus at Home. With a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art and a Minor in Art History from Mills College, Cari combines her artistic creativity with her industry expertise to make a meaningful impact on improving healthcare delivery.
Maria Cortez is a passionate multidisciplinary professional with solid experience in Academia, Industry, Business Consulting and Reveue Cycle Management who integrates different backgrounds to create innovative solutions to improve processes.Maria graduated as a Chemical Engineer and through a Fulbright scholarship obtained her Master's degree in Food Science and Human Nutrition from the University of Maine.
Aidan wears many hats at Nimbus, where he is involved in a wide range of roles, including M&A, corporate development, analytics, and financial modeling. Prior to joining Nimbus, Aidan gained valuable expertise in finance, investments, supply chain management, and data analytics during his tenure at Engage Ventures, Tech Square Ventures, AT&T, and Omnilift. He holds a degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, graduating with Highest Honors as a Stamps President’s Scholar.
Gautam Chebrolu is a generalist that is helping build robust products at Nimbus, bringing the ability to quickly create and test MVPs. He was previously the cofounder of Pilleve, a digital health venture with the mission to prevent substance abuse and addiction. He holds a dual degree in Biomedical and Electrical/Computer Engineering from Duke University and was honored on the Forbes 30 Under 30 and DC Inno 25 Under 25 lists.
Ashwin Prakash works on Product at Nimbus. He was previously the CTO of Pilleve, a digital health company with the goal of preventing substance abuse and addiction. He graduated from Duke University with a degree in Biomedical Engineering and is always looking to use his skills to improve patient's lives.
Kinzal Patel has 18+ years of experience working in the medical field, including roles as an insurance specialist, billing and coding specialist, preauthorizations specialist, administrator, office manager, and surgery tech.She has previous experience in accounting and as a licensed air hostess in India.Outside of work she enjoys hiking, cooking, dancing, and painting.
Carlos Wilcox is an Operations Associate with Nimbus Health. He is a generalist, having formerly worked as a Policy Analyst at the Cicero Institute, where he served as the issue area expert on good government reform and foreign physician licensing, and most recently as the Executive Director of the National Monuments Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to the beautification of public spaces. He is a New York native and enjoys volunteering with the New York City Parks Department.
